Inshore Expectations
Water Depth: Most inshore fishing occurs in 1-10 feet of saltwater. Some coastal flats are extremely shallow – inches deep!
Fishing Style: More casting and active fishing than offshore. You’ll be involved in spotting fish, making casts, and working lures.
Physical Activity: Generally less physically demanding than offshore. Standing while casting but minimal heavy lifting or strenuous fighting (except tarpon!).
Catch Rates: Typically higher catch rates than offshore with more consistent action throughout the trip.
Species Variety: Can target multiple species in a single trip by changing locations and techniques along the coast.

Absolutely! Inshore fishing is ideal for beginners, families, and children. The calmer water, frequent action, and lighter tackle make it perfect for learning. Our captains are patient and great with kids.
Inshore fishing can range from inches deep on the flats to 10-15 feet in channels and bays. Much of our sight fishing occurs in 1-4 feet of water.
South Florida offers excellent inshore fishing year-round! Fall is peak for redfish, spring/summer for tarpon, winter for trout and sheepshead. There's always something biting in our coastal waters.
Absolutely! We offer custom charters that combine inshore fishing in the morning with nearshore reef fishing in the afternoon, or vice versa. Contact us to design your perfect trip.
Inshore fishing is in protected coastal waters (bays, flats, Intracoastal) targeting species like snook, redfish, and trout. Offshore (deep sea) is in the open ocean targeting species like sailfish, mahi, and tuna. Inshore is calmer, more frequent catches, and better for families.
